Why Oil Heaters Are Best
When the cold winter begins to set in, most people want to have a heater that they can use whenever the need arises. There are a few different types of heater which you can use for this purpose and some have more benefits than others. When it comes to stand alone heaters oil is fast overtaking electric and gas heaters which used to be the main choices. Oil heaters have many advantages over other types of heater.
A lot of people feel uneasy about using electric heaters as they do not feel comfortable leaving them on during the night. Because of the fact that they have been know to cause electric fires due to short circuiting, they can cause undue stress and worry. For this reason they are not suitable for use during night time hours. Because electric heaters consume huge amounts of electricity they are also not very energy efficient. Gas heaters are also unsafe for night heating due to the fact that they have an open flame and there is a risk that gas could run out.
Oil heaters on the other hand are less likely to cause electrical fires as they only use a quarter of the amount of electricity that an electric heater would. This is because an oil heater works by slowly heating the oil inside the heater and once the desired temperature has been reached the heater will switch off and only come back on when the temperature in the room drops again. Also a lot of oil heaters are equipped with safety shut off features to prevent against over heating and in the event of them being accidentally tipped over.
Another advantage of an oil heater is the fact that the air does not become stuffy and dry. This makes it better for night time breathing. You can also control the temperature of the heater. You can then choose whether to use the heater to take the chill out of a room or to heat it up fully. Because of the energy efficiency of oil heaters you may find that your heating bills are reduced.
Some people spend a lot of money heating their homes in the winter. Electricity and gas prices are very high and show no signs of coming down any time soon. Many individuals are now changing over to cheaper home heating oil though. And when this happens they have to ensure the tanks re always full of Boilerjuice to ensure they never run out.
