Dont Drink And Drive This Christmas
Yes that is right drink driving is still an offence over the Christmas period and although you may think the police are all off getting drunk and having a laugh there are many out there to stop people from risking their lives and the lives of the people around them by drink driving.
In fact a figure has recently come out stating that 62% of men would happily drive after drinking around the Christmas period whereas 34% of women think the same. On top of this shocking figure it has been said that 10% of people would get into a car when they know for a fact the driver has had a few drinks. This is shocking indeed as they could end up getting you killed.
Over the holiday season in England and Wales alone 9,000 people were caught doing this last year. Although Christmas is a merry time of the year there is no excuse at all why you should be drinking and driving. Just walk home, it isn’t that big of a deal, its Christmas and everyone around you will be doing the same!
One of the problems is that if you are caught under the influence whilst driving you will get banned even if it is on Christmas Day, you could also end up in a cell and suffer a big fine. You never know you might be the one guy the judge wants to make an example of.
The best thing to do here is to stay at the place in which you are having your Christmas meal or even walk home if that is easier than asking to stay. To make sure you are not tempted just do not take the car.
On the plus side if you are looking at getting a new car it could really be worth looking into car leasing or van leasing as it could save you a lot of money. Of course you could go for the specific manufacturer and look into BMW Leasing
