Deodorant adverts smell!

That’s right; the adverts out there for deodorants are not only rubbish but they lie and are very sexist too. Lynx/Axe are one of the worst ones for doing this simply because they think that by showing some guy putting on Axe and getting a girl that it is going to make people buy the product itself. You are wasting your money if you think that. However the product itself is a great thing to own +as it works for the time it is supposed too and even comes in the new “bullet” form.

These adverts have also been stated as being sexist simply because the women are just falling at their knees to the men as soon as they have used the deodorant. Another on the list is Sure which is another one owned by the same company. In these adverts it seems nothing bad can happen to you if you are wearing the deodorant but yet everything bad happens if you do not wear it. It is unsure why the advertising agency has let his kind of nonsense go on for so long. So why on earth has it?

Because these adverts are for fun, whenever a lynx wearer is watching a new advert they simply say “yea I wish” and carry on as normal. Why? The advert is just something to laugh at the first time you see it. People watching know its just a bit of fun and that it will not actually get you a woman. It is not being sexist at all, it is there as a joke.

So pick up those shaving brushes and rub on that dermalogica and Molton Brown as well as putting on your favourite deodorant when you go out to look top notch. No one can go without deodorant and companies know this and simply want to have a bit of a laugh when creating an advert.
