The Sat Nav Purchase

Dad has just bought a new Sat Nav and I am going to take you through the positives and negatives. He was lucky enough to actually get this for free as his company paid for it but there have been several issues that we have had to take on with it so far.

The product itself is fantastic, a brilliant idea for someone who doesn’t want to constantly pull over and read a map or listen to the wife telling you the wrong directions. The trouble is however that there are times where the Sat Nav is wrong and will lead you onto the wrong road and then shout at you for going the wrong way. There was one instance in which we were going to places unknown that the machine lead us into a road that didnt exist.

Another issue with the product is that it is being used for the simplest of trips and because you are busy waiting for the voice to say “turn left” or “speed camera” it actually ends up taking longer than it would without it. I

In another country the Sat Nav can be really useful. When you are in a foreign country it can be nice to be told the directions by somebody other than your wife or someone you do not understand.

Replacing them is not easy either which is why some form of Sat Nav Insurance will need to be taken out to avoid nasty replacement costs. Of course you could get gadget insurance as this actually sets out to cover you against other things like phones and games consoles. You may not always need to take out that extra camera insurance
